Vonita is an educational leader. Her analytical mind and perseverance to “do it right” enabled Vonita to develop curriculum that provided solutions to existing training problems. Her willingness to go above and beyond was evident. She rarely needed direction to perform her job.
Her motivation to continue growing in her field remains unparalleled. Vonita is truly one of a kind collaborator, a learner who consistently moves forward in her own growth. Whoever hires Vonita is incredibly fortunate to have her in their team.
Vonita has a rare quality of being ALWAYS positive despite all the challenges, (and most importantly this energy affects everyone around) which is a truly important skill in our industry. I had the pleasure working with Vonita as one of my Instructional Designers when I managed the Learning and Development dept.,
and every interaction with her was not only professional, but also motivational, her consulting skills are second to none and I know I’m not talking only for myself. Anyone would be lucky to have a Vonita as their mentor/consultant, I know I would love to work with her again one day.
I met Vonita when we worked together as Instructional Designers at Duke Energy. She has become one of my most valued mentors. Vonita keeps my feet to the fire, encouraging me to remember the principles of instructional design and inclusion in my work. This has included elements like selecting color for color
blindness, planning before developing, and always including closed caption for the hearing impaired. She is a team player and is always willing to help. She is a natural leader because she is reliable and practices what she preaches. Her creativity and keen eye for innovation and customization are inspiring. I believe her strongest gift is her ability to remember her role as a teacher and as an advocate for her learner and her client. I am honored to recommend Vonita for any position of her choosing. She has many gifts and talents that would bring value to any organization.
Learning Experience Designer
During my career, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best professionals in the Energy Industry and Vonita is one of those. We first met on a project with Duke Energy and I was able to get to know Vonita and her ability to interview people to gather an understanding of how processes worked during current state and evaluate the necessary training needed for future state.
She could comprehend the concepts quickly and come up with the best solutions for the targeted audiences. Vonita was very instrumental in making sure the necessary people were informed of the progress and most importantly knew when to get involvement from the stakeholders on critical points. I was able to work with Vonita at Siemens Energy on another training project and we were able to bring that to completion to the customers satisfaction. Vonita has earned my respect and admiration as a fellow training developer and comes with my highest recommendations. She is a team player but is very much capable of working independently should the need arise.
Ms. Williams has my highest recommendation for her professionalism, expertise and responsiveness. I work for the United States Coast Guard, Substance Abuse Prevention Team. We worked with her on a project in converting an in-person course to online.
Her expertise on the platform that the course was converted to, was completed in a timely manner. This was instrumental in ensuring the continuity to provide substance abuse prevention services for active-duty Coast Guard members. She was timely and responsive in communicating course needs to ensure that the project was correctly done. She is reliable and continues to support the project as needed for questions or technical guidance.
I am confident that Ms. Williams will be able to support your needs.
